A second alleged accomplice of a suburban Pittsburgh teenager accused of trying to kill family members with homemade chemical bottle bombs has surrendered to police.
Fifteen-year-old Eric Evans, of Upper St. Clair, is charged with criminal conspiracy and attempted homicide. He surrendered Tuesday after being released from a psychiatric hospital where he'd been staying since the alleged Oct. 4 plot.
Police say he supplied chlorine tablets to 16-year-old Christopher Janney, of South Fayette.
Janney allegedly placed the chlorine bombs by the heads of five family members as they slept. The bottles didn't explode and no one was injured. He's charged with attempted homicide and related offenses.
Eightteen-year-old Thomas Moore, of South Park Township, is also charged.
