Denmark's first lady has been voted out of a televised dancing contest.

Anne-Mette Rasmussen and her dancing partner were voted out by viewers in the semifinal of a popular television show in which where celebrities and professional dancers team up to compete against each other.

Rasmussen, the wife of Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen, and Thomas Evers Poulsen were one of four couples left in "Vild med Dans" (Wild about dancing) on the TV2 channel.

The pair performed two routines Friday — a quickstep followed by a cha-cha-cha.

The TV2 channel didn't disclose breakdowns of viewers' text message votes.
