Florida High School Student Stabs Classmate Over $4

Police have charged a 14-year-old Jacksonville high school student with stabbing another student with a steak knife during an argument over $4.

A 15-year-old student was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries from the attack which occurred about 10:30 a.m. Thursday on a basketball court at First Coast High School.

Police filed a charge of aggravated battery against the younger teen. It was not known if he has an attorney.

The arrest report says the two students had an ongoing feud over a girl and were fighting Thursday over $4 missing from a backpack.

About 2,200 students attend the high school in north Jacksonville.
