HUDSON, Wis. – A St. Croix County man is charged with battering his physically disabled wife during a fight over a television remote.
A criminal complaint said Kevin Schreiber, 50, pushed his wife into a wall in June 2007 when she turned off the TV while he was watching it.
Schreiber is charged with two felony counts of aggravated battery and misdemeanor disorderly conduct.
Schreiber's wife had suffered severe head and eye injuries in a fall from a horse in 2005. The complaint said a doctor reported the woman's cognitive function declined after the incident.
