LOS ANGELES – Heidi Montag has made no secret of the fact that she supports Republican candidate John McCain for president, but it seems she’s an even bigger fan of his running mate Sarah Palin.
"She will do great in the debates — she’s a strong woman and my prayers are with her," Montag told Pop Tarts on Wednesday at Taco Bell’s "Reality Check Challenge."
"She has definitely been victimized by the media; it’s very hard for a woman being vice president or president. But I think she is standing strong," Montag added.
Speaking of prayers, Heidi's beau Spencer Pratt said he is (sarcastically) praying for "The Hills" co-star Whitney Port’s spin-off show, but his real thoughts are with Audrina Patridge, who is experiencing "personal problems" that are too dramatic to even air.
"My real prayers go to Audrina; she really needs it at the moment. She is going through a lot, I just wish her and her health all the best," Spencer said. "Something big is wrong, but it is up to her as to whether she wants to go public with it."
And could their hit MTV show be getting ready to wind down after this season?
"All good things come to an end, but the big thing for us post-'Hills' is our spin-off 'The Heidi and Spencer Show,' which is definitely happening," he said.
The reality TV duo downed fast food at a Los Angeles Taco Bell to bring awareness to the World Hunger Relief Movement.
"It’s really important to be here today — world hunger is a bigger issue than people realize. Every six seconds a child dies of world hunger, so that’s a huge cause," Montag told Tarts. "It kills more people than AIDS and tuberculosis and those diseases put together. We really need to do all we can to help out."
So where do Montag and Pratt plan to put their "skills" to good use?
"I think right now we need to help America the most," Spencer said, with Heidi adding that she would also really like to assist Africa and Romania.
"Romania? Where did that come from?" Spencer asked.
"It’s a very impoverished place," Montag quickly responded.
Brangelina Brigade Back in Big Apple
Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt and their six kids touched down in New York early Thursday morning, marking the first time their newborn twins Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline have stepped onto U.S. soil.
Jolie is set to attend the New York Film Festival screening of her new movie "Changeling."
Lindsay Lohan: Back to Hosting Parties
Remember all the anticipation leading up to Lindsay Lohan's 21st birthday, which was set to be held at Sin City hotspot PURE?
Unfortunately, a DUI just days before the bash put a wrench in things — but Tarts has been told that 16 months later, the party will finally come to fruition.
Lohan has been booked to host a "Nightlife Nirvana" party at the Vegas club on Nov. 7 to celebrate the launch of her leggings line "6126 by Lindsay Lohan," complete with a fashion showcase to benefit ovarian cancer research.
Girlfriend Samantha Ronson has been booked to turn the tables.
Jessica Simpson to Be Honored for Style
Despite Jessica Simpson's profuse claims that she's just a Texan girl who loves being in jeans and a T-shirt, the songstress is being hailed for her hot and unique fashion style.
Pop Tarts has been told that Simpson will be honored as a Hollywood Style Original (both for her personal style and as demonstrated by her line of shoes, accessories, fragrance and apparel) at next weekend's 5th Annual Hollywood Style Awards presented by Nikon.
Rachel Bilson and Eve are also set to be awarded for their personal style.
And for the first time ever, ordinary folks can vote on pcaVOTE.com for the Hollywood Style People’s Choice Award. So which TV show has the most stylish cast? The war is on between "The Hills," "90210" and "Keeping Up with the Kardashians."
Britney's Sex Tape: A Fantasy
For anyone out there dreaming of watching a Britney Spears/Adnan Ghalib sex tape, it is time to wake up, because it looks like it's all fantasy.
According to Star magazine, the paparazzo (who dated Spears earlier this year) has denied that the tape even exists and is reportedly hunting down British tabloid The Sun for fabricating quotes that he was shopping it around.
A source close to Spears also confirmed to Tarts that Britney and Adnan never did the deed with cameras rolling.
