PHOENIX – Surprise police have arrested a mother they say drove her daughter and her friends to a rival's home so they could assault her.
Surprise police spokesman Sgt. Mark Ortega says 41-year-old Glendale resident Kimberly Sutton was booked on conspiracy to commit aggravated assault and burglary and providing transportation to and from a crime scene.
Sutton's 16-year-old daughter and three other teens were booked on aggravated assault and burglary counts.
Ortega said Wednesday that Sutton drove the four teens to a 15-year-old girl's home in August, where they entered through a back door and attacked her. The girl was home with only her 6-year-old sibling.
The victim grabbed a knife and fought off the attack, slightly wounding one assailant.
