The parents of a baby who has been frozen since his death 21 years ago are fighting a community court ruling to bury the child, the U.K.'s Daily Mail newspaper reported Thursday.
The parents of four-month-old Christopher Blum are asking for an injunction to prevent the Enfield Council in North London from burying their son, who died in 1987.
A coroner ruled that the infant died from sudden infant death syndrome. His father, Steve Blum said he believes a triple vaccine that his son was given eight hours before his death was the cause, the paper reported.
The council wants to bury the baby on Friday, a decision the baby’s father calls a "disgrace."
“My family will not take any part whatsoever in this extraordinary forced funeral of Christopher — it will be just that, a forced funeral. There will be no relatives there, no flowers, and no contributions that could be seen as giving credibility to this,” Blum told the Mail.
