A Spanish court ordered a man held for a psychiatric evaluation after he allegedly threw an incendiary device at the home of Princess Cristina, one of the king's daughters.
Prosecutors say the man threw a container with nearly a gallon of inflammable liquid onto the grounds of the princess's Barcelona home and then hurled a Molotov cocktail to ignite it.
Prosecutors say in a statement Monday the man has a history of mental illness. The statement does not identify him by name.
The princess and her family were not home at the time of the attack early Saturday.
