Officials at Indiana University of Pennsylvania said someone fired gunshots into the air on the school's campus early Monday but no one was hurt.

University spokeswoman Michelle Fryling said the suspects are not students.

Campus police said one of the two suspects fired the gun while his friend was just "along for the ride."

Police said both will be charged with misdemeanor counts of reckless endangerment. They have been released and summonses will be mailed to them.

The state-owned school is in western Pennsylvania about 45 miles northeast of Pittsburgh.
