A couple from New York City, who tried for years to have a second child, is finally adding to their family. But it’s not just one baby Victor, 34, and Digna Carpioare expecting – it’s six.
The Carpios are set to become the second couple in New York City history to have sextuplets, the Daily News reported.
The Queens couple, who underwent fertility treatments, learned they were expecting sextuplets about five months ago when Digna fell ill during a gym workout.
"I suddenly felt faint, and my heart began racing wildly," she told the Daily News.
Digna, 31, was rushed to the hospital where doctors discovered she was two weeks pregnant. A few weeks later, a sonogram revealed she was carrying multiple babies.
The couple already has a 7-year-old son.
