His death is something of a testament to his life's work.

Dave Freeman, who co-authored the book "100 Things to Do Before You Die," is dead at 47 after falling at his house and hitting his head, his father told The Los Angeles Times.

Dave Freeman's family said his life was cut short halfway through his list of adventures. Freeman died earlier this month.

The book, which warns "This life is a short journey," is dedicated to making sure people "visit all the coolest places on earth."

"100 Things" suggested everything from attending the Academy Awards to taking a voodoo pilgrimage in Haiti

"He didn't have enough days, but he lived them like he should have," said Freeman's co-author Neil Neplica.
