Boston police are searching for an 11-year-old girl who vanished Tuesday evening in East Boston.

Marizali Aponti was last seen at a McDonald’s near Central Square around 6 p.m. with her 7-year-old brother, according to the Boston Globe.

Aponti is Hispanic, 4 feet 6 inches tall, with brown eyes and hair and she was last scene wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans, according to the Boston Police.

The girl's mother reported her missing around 11:40 p.m. on Tuesday after she said she went to pick her children up at McDonald’s but only found her son, the Boston Globe reported.

She also said Aponti had disappeared about nine months ago but returned home after a few hours, police told the Globe.

The case remained an active investigation Wednesday night but Boston police were not seeking an Amber Alert, the Globe reported.
