John Mayer told California fans on Wednesday that he has already cheated on Jennifer Aniston — in his dreams, E! News reports.
An eyewitness in Mountain View, Calif., told E! that the singer, 30, "was talking about 'dream cheating.' He apparently made out with some chick in his dreams."
Though Aniston, 39, was not evident in the crowd, Mayer then reportedly said "he had to do his penance to his girlfriend by singing 'Dreaming with a Broken Heart.'"
The "Friends" star continues to draw scrutiny when attending Mayer's concerts. At a recent concert in Chula Vista, Calif., Mayer commented on the media coverage of his relationship, telling fans that "it's kind of a new thing for me to have my stage banter scrutinized. They have been printing everything I say."
