Officials are investigating a crash between two historic San Francisco streetcars that injured 14 people.

A spokesman for the Municipal Transportation Agency said that an F-line train rear-ended another train at about 6:30 p.m. Monday on an exclusive streetcar right-of-way path that runs along the Embarcadero.

None of the people hurt in the crash suffered life-threatening injuries, but both operators and four passengers were taken to the hospital, according to the spokesman.

The incident comes after two other Muni trains were involved in a rear-end crash near the Giants ballpark in June.

In that crash, 16 people were hurt.
