Kathy Griffin is finished with plastic surgery at age 47, telling Fitness magazine that "I’ve been off the junk, as I call it, for five years."

The comedian, who won an Emmy for her reality series "Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List," told the magazine for its September issue that "I’ve had a face lift, eye job and all that stuff five years ago.

"What I found, though, was that it didn’t help me one bit. It didn’t get me happier or didn’t make me look particularly younger."

Griffin said she turned to surgery as a way to bolster her career, believing that she needed it to land work. "Ageism is so prevalent in Hollywood, especially in standup — it’s such a male dominated zone," she said. "I thought, 'Dammit, I got to do everything I can to look my best.'"

However, the comedian, known for her work on the sitcom "Suddenly Susan," is finally comfortable with her body, telling the magazine that "for 47, it’s pretty darn good. I've come to terms with the fact that I'm never going to be Jennifer Aniston."
