Authorities say a man shot his ex-girlfriend to death in her Long Island office before turning the gun on himself. A supervisor in the office was wounded while coming to the woman's aid.
Suffolk County police say the gunman entered an Aflac insurance office in Bohemia and asked to speak to the woman. Police say it's unclear how he got into the building, which has a keypad lock.
Lt. Jack Fitzpatrick says the woman led the gunman into the supervisor's office where he pulled out a .40-caliber handgun and began firing. The woman and the shooter died at the scene.
Fitzpatrick says the supervisor was shot in the chest. He was airlifted to a hospital and was undergoing surgery but his condition has not been released.
