The Honolulu Medical Examiner's office says a Lanikai multimillionaire died from injuries suffered from a fall.
Steven Thomas' body was found by three hikers near the Pali Highway on the Windward side of the tunnel on Sunday.
Honolulu Police Maj. Alan Bluemke says investigators don't have any details on how or when the body got there.
The case is classified as an unattended death. Police don't suspect foul play.
Thomas' family had issued a public plea to find Thomas, who had been missing for two weeks.
His wife says Thomas was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in April but had been refusing medication.
Thomas was the founder of Webroot Software in Boulder, Colorado and controlled a fortune estimated at $50 million.
