Welsh authorities have charged a 32-year-old woman with hiding the body of her newborn baby in the trunk of her car to keep the pregnancy a secret from her partner, according to the U.K.’s The Daily Mail.

According to The Mail, Claire Jones, a marketing executive, became pregnant with a co-worker’s baby after a brief affair. She reportedly went to great lengths to hide the pregnancy from the man, David Stoneman, by attributing her weight gain to a wheat allergy.

Last December, she gave birth to the baby in the bathroom of her mother’s home. Later, she wrapped the body of the stillborn in plastic bin bags and returned to Stoneman’s home to act as if nothing had happened, The Mail reported.

After South Wales Police were tipped off by a health service official, Jones reportedly told authorities she had flushed the baby down the toilet. But an investigation led police to find the dead baby hidden in the trunk of her car.
