Three men are in custody after they were caught in a car sought after a double slaying in Garland, Texas, officials said.

Texarkana police said early Friday that suspects will be returned to Garland to face charges.

The bodies of Matthew Butler and Stephen Swan were discovered early Thursday in a parking lot outside a recording studio owned by Butler.

Police had been seeking a vehicle belonging to one of the victims.

Texarkana Sgt. Shawn Fitzgerald told KLTV-TV that the car was pulled over Thursday night when police became suspicious that the vehicle had fictitious license plates.

Fitzgerald said officers checked the vehicle identification number and determined the car was sought in the double killing.

Police arrested a 20-year-old man, and two men who are 19, in the capital murder investigation.
