Van Driver at DFW Airport Passes Out, Hits Plane

A Dallas airport spokesman said a service van's driver lost consciousness and wedged the vehicle under a plane full of passengers.

No one in the plane was hurt Thursday, said Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport spokesman David Magana.

The Midwest Airlines flight to Milwaukee was canceled. Airline spokesman Michael Brophy said the Boeing 717 is significantly damaged.

The worker for a ramp services company who drove the van was flown to a Fort Worth hospital. The worker's condition has not been released.

Magana said the driver had a medical problem and lost consciousness behind the wheel. The plane was parked at the gate.
