A murderer who punched a deputy after he was convicted of killing his wife and son last month now has threatened the judge at his sentencing hearing in Battle Creek, Mich.

Michael Fisher, 43, told the Calhoun County Circuit Court judge on Thursday that he would someday get revenge.

He was convicted May 12 of two counts of first-degree murder in the December 2006 shooting deaths of 38-year-old Candy Fisher and 12-year-old Michael Fisher II.

As that verdict was announced, the defendant punched a sheriff's deputy and tried to grab the officer's handgun. Michael Fisher was subdued at the time with a stun gun.
