British authorities say a man and his dog are "lucky to be alive" after surviving a 200-foot plunge from a cliff in Dorset, England, that ejected both from the falling vehicle, the BBC reported.
The 42-year-old driver, whose name has not been released, reportedly suffered two broken legs while his New Zealand sheepdog manged to walk away unscathed and return home, where he was found underneath the kitchen table.
Rescuers were able to reach the man 20 minutes after the fall as he lay in thick undergrowth and barely conscious, according to the BBC. He was airlifted to a nearby hospital, where he is expected to make a full recovery.
"The man and the dog are lucky to be alive," a British coastguard spokeswoman told the BBC. "It was a hard rescue and crews had to follow the man's shouts to find him under the thick undergrowth," she said.
