Beleagured pop star Britney Spears already has a Grammy, and soon she might be in the running for another award — an Emmy.
OK! Magazine reports that Spears is one of 41 actresses on a ballot released by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences for a nomination in the "best guest actress" category, thanks to her role as a secretary on the CBS sitcom "How I Met Your Mother."
Other actresses in the running for a nomination in the same category, according to OK!, include Mary-Kate Olsen for her role as a pot-dealing Christian on "Weeds," Alyssa Milano for her stint on "My Name is Earl" and "Scrubs" star Sarah Chalke, who guest-starred on "How I Met Your Mother" as Britney's boss.
The official nominees for the Emmy Awards, which air September 21 on ABC, will be announced on July 17.
