A man in Bangladesh had a 92.5-pound tumor removed from his abdomen, Agence France-Presse reported on Wednesday.
Dhaka Medical College Hospital surgeon Omar Ali told AFP the tumor, which was bigger than a football, is believed to be the largest removed by medical staff in the country.
He said the 40-year-old man, a rickshaw puller, noticed his stomach growing larger over the past two years but thought the weight gain was from water retention.
The surgery was performed Monday.
"We are checking whether it is cancerous or not. It's amazing how he carried on with such a big tumor in his body," Ali said.
The tumor was almost 32 inches long and 24 inches wide.
