Phoenix police are searching for two suspects involved in a road rage shooting that left a 70-year-old woman dead.

Authorities say the victim and her 4-year-old granddaughter were both shot after a heated confrontation that stemmed from a minor traffic accident yesterday afternoon at 19th Avenue and Bethany Home.

The woman was in the front passenger seat of an SUV. She was shot in the upper body. A police spokeswoman says the child was shot in the right arm and is in stable condition.Two other children and the 33-year-old woman who was driving the SUV weren't injured.

Phoenix police are asking the public for help in finding a couple in an older model, white Ford Escort who reportedly opened fire on the victims.
