Diplomats say Syria has told other Arab countries it will not allow the International Atomic Energy Agency access to three alleged secret nuclear sites.

The diplomats say a senior Syrian official told Arab members of the IAEA in Vienna that agency inspectors will be able to inspect a facility destroyed last year by Israeli jets on suspicion it was a nuclear rector.

But on Tuesday the Syrian official ruled out visits to other sites that U.S. intelligence indicates might hide undeclared nuclear work, they said, demanding anonymity. Syria denies having a secret nuclear program.
