SEATTLE – Police and federal agents have raided strip clubs in the Seattle area as part of a racketeering investigation involving the clubs' owner.
Robbie Burroughs, a spokeswoman for the FBI, told the Seattle Post-Intelligencer warrants were served Monday at multiple locations as part of an investigation into strip-club owner Frank Colacurcio Sr.
Investigators told FOX affiliate KCPQ-TV that the investigation is looking into whether prostitution was being promoted within the clubs.
The Sugar's club in Shoreline was closed off with yellow tape as officers carried out records.
In January, 90-year-old Colacurcio pleaded guilty to illegal campaign contributions to three Seattle City Council candidates, the paper reported.
