Former tenants of a confessed killer have testified at her murder trial that they found their pet fish killed, furniture turned over and the words "vengeance is mine sayeth the Lord" scrawled onto a wall.

The tenants lived in an apartment building in Somersworth, N.H., owned by Sheila LaBarre. LaBarre has admitted to killing 24-year-old Kenneth Countie in March 2006 and 38-year-old Michael Deloge in the fall of 2005. She has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity.

Amy Marshall told the jury Friday that when she was moving out of LaBarre's apartment building, she came back to pick up a few things and discovered a glass door had been broken, all the lights in the house had been turned on, all the burners of the stove were on and the oven was running, with the door open. Marshall also discovered her fish had been killed. Bleach had been poured into the tank.

She said LaBarre was the only other person who had a key to her apartment.

Court ended early on Friday and will not resume again until Tuesday when the defense is expected to present its final witness.
