Police Investigate After Suspicious Bag Thrown at Seattle Fed Building

Police have closed a street near the Federal Building in downtown Seattle while they investigate a suspicious bag.

A man reportedly threw the blue duffel bag at the building's door around 5 a.m. on the Second Avenue side of the building. The street is closed between Spring and Madison for the investigation.

KIRO-TV reports that police detained the man who threw the bag. He also reportedly threw two orange traffic cones at the doors.

Police spokesman Mark Jamieson says a bomb squad is responding.
