A mayor in Chile has to plans to distribute free Viagra four times a month to men who are 60 and older; it is being reported by the AFP.

Gonzalo Navarrete, who is a doctor and the mayor of Lo Prado, said he hopes to improve the men's quality of life.

"This has to do with the quality of life and it's done responsibly," Navarrete told the Las Ultimas Noticias. "It's not just like handing out candy at the corner."

Navarrete said the men must undergo a medical exam before they receive any pills.

"We'll give out four, 50 mg pills, in other words, for four sexual relationships per month," Navarrete said. The program's start-up cost is about $20,000.

"Sildenafil doesn't get you going without direct stimulation," Navarrete said as advice to his male constituents.
