Atlanta police on Friday were searching for the teen drivers of a stolen minivan that spun out of control and slammed into and injured two people waiting at a bus stop.

The hit-and-run crash happened in the northwest part of the city when the teens saw police attempting to pull over another car involved in a separate incident a few blocks away, according to MyFOXAtlanta.

Officers saw a man throw a woman out of an SUV, which led to a chase. The SUV crashed into a utility pole, and authorities took the driver into custody.

When the group of teens in the minivan caught sight of the police, they tried to escape by making a U-turn — but hit the people at the bus stop instead.

"Five young boys jumped out," eyewitness Joyce Walker, who was on foot nearby, told MyFOXAtlanta.

The two people hit by the minivan were taken to the hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
