MINSK, Belarus – Vandals painted swastikas and graffiti on a Holocaust memorial site to mark the anniversary of Adolf Hitler's birth, according to a Jewish leader in Belarus.
Friedrich Falevich said the site in the town of Slutsk, south of the capital, Minsk, is being cleaned.
Slutsk city authorities weren't saying anything about Sunday's vandalism. But city services were helping to clean the monument.
The April 20 anniversary of Hitler's birth often sees a spike in anti-Semitic attacks by right-wing groups across Europe.
