Police Constable, Property Manager Shot in Pennyslvania Apartment Complex, Manhunt Under Way

A constable and an apartment manager have been shot at an apartment complex in Yeadon.

A Delaware County emergency dispatcher confirms that police responded to a report of a shooting at the complex.

A spokeswoman at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia says the two people were brought to the hospital with gunshot wounds. She says they are in guarded, but stable, condition.

Constables are elected or appointed and act as independent contractors for the court system. They serve warrants, transport prisoners and perform a variety of other duties, usually for magisterial district courts.

Yeadon Mayor Jacqueline Mosley says police are looking for the suspect.
