College Students Accused of Trying to Steal Alligators From Mini Golf Pond

Five students are charged with trying to steal juvenile alligators from a Florida miniature golf course in what police think was a college fraternity prank, reported.

Police said three Embry Riddle University students served as lookouts, while two others jumped into the alligator pool at the Congo River Miniature Golf Course in Daytona Beach Shores, Fla.

Surveillance cameras caught the 18- and 19-year-olds using a piece of a palm tree and duct tape to carry out the act, and they fled when police arrived around 3 a.m., according to the TV station.

The teens are charged with unspecified felonies.
