Police: 10,000 Workers Protest in Bangladesh for Better Wages

A police official says approximately 10,000 protesting textile workers clashed with police near Bangladesh's capital. Dozens were injured.

The workers were demanding better wages in Saturday's protest to meet the country's high food prices.

Local police station official Angur Akter says the injured includes at least 20 police officials. There was no immediate word on the exact number of injured or their condition.
