Rockets or mortars were heard being fired in the direction of the Green Zone in the Iraqi capital. The U.S. military says there are no reports of injuries or significant damage.

Monday's attacks come a day after a radical cleric Shiite cleric pulled his fighters off the streets after nearly a week of clashes in Baghdad and southern cities.

The Green Zone houses the U.S. and British embassies and much of the Iraqi government. The area has seen frequent attacks in the last week. At least two Americans working with the U.S. government have been killed.

The latest attacks come a day after cleric Muqtada al-Sadr ordered his Shiite militiamen to stand down after clashing violently with Iraqi and coalition forces. The fighting came in response to a government crackdown on al-Sadr's Mahdi Army.
