Christopher J. Clanton told the newspaper "mayhem broke out" at the social hall in Overlea and he was trying to push past a fight between two other men when someone started fighting with him.

The 22-year-old was taken to a local hospital by ambulance and was in good condition Monday. He was expected to be released Monday or Tuesday, the newspaper reported.

Clanton, who lives in Northeast Baltimore, played Savino Bratton on the HBO drama. His character, a soldier in a drug organization, was killed off in the show's last season by a man who robbed drug dealers for a living.
