Helicopter Crash Lands in California Field, Pilot Walks Away Uninjured

OXNARD, Calif. – An agriculture helicopter crash landed in pieces in an Oxnard strawberry field this morning.

The pilot walked away from the wreckage uninjured.

Ventura County fire spokesman Bill Nash says firefighters were called at 8:07 a.m. and told a helicopter crash landed in a field near Etting Road and Wood Road.

There was no fire.

The helicopter is upside-down in the field.
