MILWAUKEE – Fonzie will be given a permanent view of the Milwaukee River.
After months of looking, a committee has found a spot for a proposed life-size statue of the "Happy Days" icon in the city where the TV sitcom was set.
Committee officials chose the outdoor seating area of the Rock Bottom Brewery, which sits along downtown Milwaukee's Riverwalk.
Committee member Stacie Callies says the Fonz embodies fun, and a site next to a microbrewery is fitting.
The statue will be dedicated in a public ceremony, tentatively set for Aug. 19. Actor Henry Winkler, who played the Fonz, is expected to attend, along with most of the "Happy Days" cast.
