The United States is mocking the Cuban parliament's approval of Raul Castro as the new president as more of the same.

State Department spokesman Tom Casey said Monday the United States believes the retirement of Raul Castro's ailing 81-year-old brother Fidel does not represent a significant political transition.

He quotes the song, "Won't Get Fooled Again," by the rock group, The Who.

Casey added that a continuation of the Castro family dictatorship "is not something that we would have liked to see."
