Lockdown at California State University After Report of Assault Rifle on Campus

CARSON, Calif. – Authorities are searching the campus of California State University, Dominguez Hills after someone reported seeing a person carrying an assault rifle.

Sheriff's deputies are assisting campus police and have shut down the sprawling university grounds 20 miles south of downtown Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department says it's not clear if the person is a man or woman. No injuries have been reported.
