LOS ANGELES – She may be known as the wholesome young woman from Oklahoma who won "American Idol" in its fourth season, but Carrie Underwood is proving she can get down and dirty with a new sexy style.
The beautiful blonde had jaws dropping at Sunday evening's Grammy Awards as she strutted on stage in black knee-high boots with hot pants to sing "Before He Cheats" against a backdrop of back-up boys.
"Carrie is finally embracing her sexy side and it works," an industry executive told Pop Tarts. "She is stunning, and when she walks into a room it's impossible to take your eyes off her. Guys are falling over her."
Pop Tarts also popped Underwood twirling into the Sony/BMG after-party at the Beverly Hills hotel in a strapless gold number, turning the heads of everyone from Chris Brown to John Mayer to fellow country crooner Brad Paisley.
And it is nice to see a gal with confidence.
"Of course I vote for myself, I have no shame," Carrie said, referring to the Grammys. "That's OK, I am a paying member."
Audrina Patridge Is 'Big'; Timbaland Peeved at People; Missy Elliot Rejected
"The Hills" hottie Audrina Patridge hopped out to Hollywood hotspot Boulevard 3 on Friday night to hear Good Charlotte's Benji Madden turn the tables and Shar Jackson topple tunes at the VH1 pre-Grammy gig.
But it turns out that Patridge also is "big" in Europe. Just ask her.
Apparently, Audrina told another partygoer that things in her professional life were "going well" and that she was "blowing up big in Europe." Ah, OK...
Meanwhile, down the road at the Avalon, People/Verizon were hosting another pre-Grammy bash hosted by Timbaland, but apparently his friends were turned away.
"Right at the end, Timbaland got on the mic and told the magazine and sponsor off," Tarts was told. "He was upset about friends of his not being allowed in, and he wanted everyone to know about it. He swore, walked off stage and that pretty much ended the party."
Ouch. But it seems the music mogul himself wasn't the only one upset by the affair.
"The reps were in tears," an insider added.
Speaking of upset peeps, Missy Elliot wasn't too exhilarated, either, in the early hours of Sunday morning. Microsoft Zune hosted (what was supposed to be) an "intimate brunch" for five-time Grammy nominee Ne-Yo in Hollywood, kicking off at 2 a.m.; however, this private party suddenly became the "place to be" for partygoers.
Hundreds upon hundreds heard word and obviously wanted to hang out with the likes of Jay-Z, Chris Brown and Rihanna — causing the street to be shut down and 20 cops to be on standby. But even Missy was miffed by the fire marshal.
Tarts spotted her patiently waiting outside for a few minutes with the commoners, but when she still wasn't given the go-ahead, the "Pass That Dutch" dame had to move on. Even Nick Cannon had to hang around outside before getting into the ultra-exclusive bash.
Downstairs, Rihanna remained the belle of the "brunch" (they served omelets, OJ and bagels) as she bummed with her bodyguard while every A-lister couldn't stop staring. A stranger even went to hug the "Umbrella" babe, but she was quick to put her arm up as protection.
L.C. Romancing a Bunch of Boys While Sophia Bush Rejects Them
Lauren Conrad may have moved from "Laguna Beach" to "The Hills," but the reality star seems to be still "surfing" between her boys.
L.C. has been romantically linked to her co-star Brody Jenner over recent months in what seems to be an on-again/off-again affair.
Conrad, however, was on hand to help her former "Laguna Beach" beau Stephen Colletti celebrate his 22nd birthday at The Launch of Vinyl Vixen Thursdays at Whisky Blue hosted by "Lost" stunner Rebecca Mader last week.
"They came together, sat together and were canoodling by the end of the night," Tarts was told. "They were trying to be cool about it, but they were definitely very, very happy to be together, to say the least."
So while Colletti was playing cutesy with Conrad, his on-screen love interest on "One Tree Hill," Sophia Bush, was busted at the Malandrino after-party at 1 OAK in New York.
According to a partygoer, the sexy starlet decided to get up and move an entire table that was decked out with Hennessy martinis to make more room on the dance floor.
"Some guys offered to help her, but Sophia was determined to do it alone," our source said. "Lucky for her, she managed to do it without spilling or breaking anything, but celebrity or not, I don't know how happy the wait staff were."
