Dethroned Miss Nevada USA Katie Rees was arrested Wednesday in connection with the assault of a police officer, FOX5Vegas.com reports.
Rees, who lost her crown in 2006 after racy photos of her emerged on the Internet, was arrested shortly before 3 a.m. Wednesday after she allegedly elbowed and kicked officers who pulled her over on a traffic violation, Las Vegas Metropolitan police told the station.
Rees was driving on a suspended license, police told FOX5Vegas.com.
Rees is being held in the Clark County Detention Center on six misdemeanor charges, according to the jail's Web site. Those charges include resisting a police officer, driving with suspended license plates, driving on a suspended license and speeding.

In December 2006, Rees lost her crown and her chance to compete for the Miss USA title when photos showing her in various stages of undress came to public light.
"We were just out being goofy girls and celebrating," Rees said in January 2007. "We had a few drinks, which I don't condone, but we were just having a good time."
