Hours Before Super Bowl, Fans Squeeze in Last Night of Revelry

With one night left before the big game, fans packed into Super Bowl pre-parties teeming with free booze, free music, body-painted go-go dancers, celebrities, athletes, and possibly even a discussion or two about football.

Hugh Hefner will host Playboy magazine's oh-so-exclusive Super Saturday Night Party with his co-stars in E!'s "The Girls Next Door" Holly Madison, Bridget Marquardt and Kendra Wilkinson.

Playboy spent a year planning the desert oasis-themed party at the rustic Rawhide Pavilion in Chandler. Crews spent four days unloading several hundred bottles of tequila and preparing thousands of tiny beef Wellington's, chocolate strawberries and other appetizers.

"You'll see a little bit of everything," said Donna Tavoso, division vice president. "A lot of beautiful women, some great go-go dancers, great food, great drink."

And, oh yeah, Playmate of the Year Sara Jean Underwood will be there. Underwood and 26 other playmates plan to mingle with the crowd all night. If that wasn't enough, Playboy also will bus in hot women that its "outreach" crews found while touring Arizona State University, modeling agencies and the Phoenix metro area.

On the north end of the metro area, Scottsdale offered a number of parties, including the Penthouse Desire Superparty with rapper Snoop Dogg. John Travolta and Marshall Faulk hosted the Saturday Night Spectacular with REO Speedwagon. Kid Rock was expected to entertain at the Axis Radius club.

In Tempe, Ariz., the Counting Crows were to play a free concert at Tempe Town Lake.
