Detectives hunting for a suspected kidnapper in Madeleine McCann's disappearance have narrowed in on a Portuguese man, the Daily Mail reports. Joaquim Agostinho strongly resembles a sketch drawn by an FBI-trained forensic artist who was commissioned by Kate and Gerry McCann, Madeleine’s parents.

The suspect was identified after two British tourists complained they had been followed by a man who looked “identical” to a sketch of the alleged kidnapper.

The witness who gave the original description of the suspect for the sketch told the Daily Mail Agostinho is the spitting image of the man seen three times at the resort where Madeleine vanished.

Agostinho has denied any involvement in Madeleine's disappearance, but admits the sketch does look like him.
