He looked like a normal customer at the China Buffet, until he went to the cash register and pulled out a gun instead of a wallet.

The owner of the China Buffet restaurant said a man came into the restaurant alone Monday night, served himself at the buffet, sat and ate at a table for about 20 minutes.

But, when the man went to the cashier as if he were ready to pay for his meal, he pulled out a small, black handgun and demanded the money from the register, the police report said.

The robber ran away with an undisclosed amount of money.
