A pregnant attorney who police said made up a story about being kidnapped faces arraignment Thursday.
Karyn McConnell Hancock, 35, a former city councilwoman, never was abducted outside the city's juvenile court building as she claimed, according to police.
Hancock turned up three days after being reported missing outside an amusement park near Atlanta. Police say Hancock told authorities she had been abducted at gunpoint in downtown Toledo but later changed her story.
Investigators said she drove by herself to the Atlanta area and they don't think her husband or anyone else knew what she was doing.
Hancock is charged with making false alarms, a charge carrying a maximum penalty of six months in jail and a $1,000 fine.
Her husband has given the explanation that Hancock had a "meltdown."
