December 2007 Archive

Welcome to the PC&G blog!

My name’s Liz, and I scour the Web for cool sites — not all of them make it into our weekly video package, so we’re posting them right here. I’ll post my finds daily.

Got something you think we should see? Send me an e-mail at!

I can’t believe 2007 is almost over! To celebrate the New Year, here’s a list of my all-time favorite sites. Hope you enjoy this blast from the past, and I’ll see you next year! — Liz

Top 5 Sites:

Eat Babies — I may have been the only one to appreciate the sarcasm in this one! It's a spoof of Jonathan Swift's “A Modest Proposal" — it teaches you how to eat babies. But don't get upset, its ALL FAKE ... the site is pure genius and was definitely one of my most memorable finds.

Don’s Guns — The quote of the year comes from Don over at Don’s Guns "I don’t want to make any money folks, I just LOVE to rent guns." CREEPY!!!

Gimme More (Pills) — Who could forget Britney’s HORRENDOUS comeback performance ... and who could forget this hysterical parody of the pop tart's misfortune.

David Blaine — The only time I actually like David Blaine is in parody. (Warning: this does contain adult language)

I Like Turtles — I like turtles too kid.? This is definitely one of my favorite finds.

Top 5 Games:

Free Rice — This flash game donates rice to the hungry every time you get a vocabulary word right. Educational, charitable and addictive ... sweet!

AMAZING! — I’m not exactly sure what this is, but the performance art in this one is pretty cool -- but it’s the way it interacts with your screen that’s awesome!

Bad Tattoos — I love sites that highlight pics of the worst tattoos imaginable. Some of my favorites on this one are Skull Face, Mr. Cool Ice and Monkey Butt.

Happy Holiday’s: The Rap — Here's another video from our friend Remy. It's a holiday rap, and I think it could be a new classic.

Fold School — Learn with step-by-step directions on how to build furniture out of cardboard. It sounds like a great idea, but make sure you get the right type of cardboard! This thing took me over eight hours to build!!

Tokyo Street Styles — The Japanese have got a style all their own, and here’s a great site that showcases just that. Updated weekly, this site has pics of people around and about in Tokyo.

Vector Runner — Here’s an addictive game I found and I love it! All you have to do is avoid the cones and collect the dots – it sounds easy, but it’s harder than it looks.

MyCoupons — This one is PERFECT for the upcoming holiday season, with hundreds of discount codes for online shopping, just really hope it’s not a hoax — but check out their “About Us” section, they seem pretty legit.

UPDATE: They are legit! I heard from the president of and he assures me that they’re 100 percent NOT a scam. Woo hoo! This site is now 10 times cooler than I originally thought.

Courtroom Testimony — People in court can be pretty stupid! I’m not really sure how real this is, but wouldn’t it be GREAT if it was!?

Elf Yourself — What better way to spread holiday cheer than by making yourself into an online elf that dances around like an ass! Its easy too — upload a photo and the site will put your mug (or anyone else you upload) on santa's helper's head!

Deezer — This is my new ALL TIME favorite music site out there. Its easy to navigate and completely free! What I really like is that there are no limitations — you can even add an entire album to your playlist.

Doing it Wrong — I love when people are caught in the act looking like complete morons — and what I love even more is when those pics are collected and showcased in one convenient place on the web!
