Authorities spent a second day Wednesday searching sections of the Des Plaines River for a suburban Chicago woman missing since Monday.
Police looked for 24-year-old Anu Solanki as family members spread missing persons flyers and spoke with investigators.
Divers spent hours searching the river Wednesday, two days after Solanki's car was found in a forest preserve parking lot.
Her husband said she may have been placing a religious statue in the river when she disappeared. Dignesh Solanki said the statue of the Hindu deity Ganesh was broken and a religious leader told them it should be placed in a lake or a river to prevent bad luck.
