A sheriff's deputy found a woman's body on fire near a church early Sunday, authorities said.

The Palm Beach County deputy used the fire extinguisher from his patrol car to put out the flames after discovering the burning body shortly after 3 a.m. near Our Lady Queen of the Apostles Catholic Church in Royal Palm Beach.

Authorities have not identified the woman, and say that she is between the ages of 20 and 40. Investigators are treating her death as a homicide.
